THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS ON EQUIPMENT FOR THE EUROPEANS. INDEED THE ISAF HAVE NOT FINALLY DECIDED TO RESTRICT IT FOR THE WORLDS EITHER. THEIR EXECUTIVE SEEM TO WANT TO DO SO BUT I BELIEVE THAT THE MID YEAR MEETING WILL BE ASKED TO DECIDE. PERSONALLY I THINK THAT TO RESTRICT THE OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS (2003/2004 WORLDS) TO TUNED MODs IS PREJUIDICAL TO THE RACERS ESPECIALLY AS TESTING HAS SHOWN NO REAL PERFORMANCE DIFFERENCE. 3. Is there any proposed ruling on sanding the boards for the Europeans. If the situation is status quo... If there is a protest regarding a significant difference on the textured surface of unsanded new boards and it is deemed that this would contribute significantly to a difference in performance - what plans are there to resolve this situation?
