The 3rd University World Sailing Championship will take place from 2 - 9 July 2004 in Karsiyaka, Izmir, Turkey. Karyaka is situated at the north of Izmir Bay in the boundaries of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.

Racing will take place in the following disciplines:
Single-handed dinghy Men - Laser
Single-handed dinghy Women - Laser Radial
Double-handed dinghy Men & Mixed - 470
Double-handed dinghy Women - 470
Windsurfer Men - Mistral One Design
Windsurfer Women - Mistral One Design

Each nation is entitled to two entries per category. Competitors must be born between 1 January 1976 and 31 December 1986.
