The Sopot Klub Zeglarski celebrated the completion of a Euro 1.5m refurbishment last weekend by staging a regatta for 150 local members with an official dedication ceremony and a Saturday night Bar BQ style party that went on into the small hours of Sunday morning!

Knowing the amount of time and effort that goes into developing their athletes and seeing the facilities that help to support them it is little surprise that some members are amongst the best of the best in the worlds in terms of international achievements. Now this high performance centre dedicated to competition windsurfing has an onsite gym, sauna, lecture room and a restaurant not to mention accommodation for 44 visitors.

Planning is well underway to stage high-level international championships at the Klub, starting next year with the 2004 Mistral Europeans (June 2 >13)
