Lee Lai Shan ( HKG- 1 ) and Joao Rodriguez ( POR - 75 ) take the title at Kiel Week 2003. Overcast and rainy weather dominated the morning of the last day of racing at Kiel. Surfer´s got sent offshore at 10:30 AM to their racing area in a 10-12 knots easterly breeze. But just as competitiors and coaches reached the course the sky cleared and the wind dropped to zero knots. There was no start attempt and sailors waited on the glassy bay for the final decision of the race committee.
At 1:00 PM racing was cancelled for all courses at Kiel Week 2003. So there are no changes to yesterday´s results.
Final top three men´s are: 1. POR - 75 Joao Rodriguez - 5 Points 2. FRA - 8 Nicolas Huguet - 8 Points 3. HKG - 6 Ho Chi Ho - 9 Points
Final top three women´s results are: 1. HKG - 1 Lee Lai Shan - 6 Points 2. SUI - 1 Anja Kaeser - 14 Points 3. POL - 43 Anna Graczyk - 17 Points
At this year´s Kiel Week we have seen unfortunately little racing for the Mistral´s but for the first time in years a lot of sun and friendly weather. After a long period of racing in Europe sailors are looking forward to the break until the Preolympics at Athens midd August. You all take care and thank you for joining in ! Mahalo Aline
