The World Festival on the Beach has now closed.  In all the five races held from Friday, in the Sicily Grand Prix results, open to all boards and sails, the winner was Marco Andreuccetti with Wirz and Castelli second and third place on the podium, all on Mistral PanAm.

Mistral One Design boards took the next four places - Ziani Abdelhamid and Hassen Hadef from Algeria in fourth and fifth place, and Dario Pasta (Albaria) sixth, followed by another Algerian Djell Abdelafif.  The World Festival on the Beach was an important race for the North Africans, for the preparation of the African Games which will be held in July in Algeria.  First RS:X was Marca Casagrande in eighth place.

The first girl on the One Design went to Giulia Ferrara (Albaria), whilst Paola Maria Onori (Planet Sail) was the first youth in the overall ranking in the Mistral One design category. The same result for Alessandro Gagliano Candela (Albaria), best junior in both classifications. 

Enrico Piccone (Lauria) was awarded the Techno 293 category, who was always amongst the first to finish from the first day of the races, Annie Nuccio and Giorgia Avara both from the Albaria came in behind him.

The athletes were awarded during the closing ceremony at the World Festival on the Beach by prizes from Magic Company from Palermo.
