Do NOT under any circumstances travel to the worlds without booking your accommodation in advance El Puerto is definitely not the place to come to in August unless you have pre-booked your hotel.  The population goes from 60,000 in winter to nearly 400,000 in August.  The prices also rocket and a house that costs 1500 to 2000 Euros in September will cost between 5000 and 6000 in August - it is cheaper to rent for a year than just for August in most cases.  Even the campsite is full and needs to be booked well in advance if people
are planning to show up before the 1st September.
