Zofia Klepacka (POL8), 4 time ISAF Youth World Champion, continued to dominate the girls fleet scoring two bullets in bright sunshine and 15 knots of breeze... Near perfect conditions! Just behind was Chan Wai Man (HKG 26) scored two seconds with Flavia Tartaglini (ITA 46) scoring 2# 3rds. All three fresh from the 2003 ISAF Youth Worlds in Madeira.
In the boys class, the newly crowned ISAF Youth World Champion, Yu Wing Ho (HKG22) was having a few problems stamping his authority on the fleet, only managing a 7th and a 5th to take 4th place overall. Byron Kokkalanis (GRE(8) was having nonew of it. He won the two races with a clear lead. Late entry Tom Ashley (NZL 181), just back from a 4 month lay-off due to injury, has not lost any of his speed and clever tactical ability and had a very satisfactory day in rthe office ... two 2nds. !
