Marking `One Year to Go' before the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad get underway in Athens, the President of the IOC, Jacques Rogge, will invite a record number of countries to take part in the Games. He will also personally sign the official invitations to the 201 National Olympic Committees (NOCs).

The signing ceremony will take place at the IOCs headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Wednesday 13 August at 11 a.m., exactly 366 days before the Opening Ceremony for Athens 2004.
