In which IMCO International hereby sanction the formation of the National IMCO to be known as IMCO [ ] on the following conditions: |

1. Name |
The official name shall be the [ ] National Mistral Organisation. |
2. Constitution |
The [ ] National IMCO agrees and undertakes to abide by the constitution of the International Mistral Organisation. |
3. Management |
The [ ] National IMCO hereby agrees and undertakes to form a democratically elected committee elected by IMCO One-Design owners and competitors being members of the aforementioned National IMCO, consisting of a chairman, a treasurer, two senior sailors, two youth representatives, the importer's representative and a secretary. |
4. Membership |
The Committee of the [ ] National IMCO undertakes to set a reasonable annual fee for membership. |
5. Eligibility to Race |
All competitors in a national qualifying series race or National Championship or an international event sanctioned by IMCO International must be a member of his/her National IMCO and be in its good standing. |
6. National Sailing Authority/Mistral Importer |
The [ ] National IMCO hereby undertakes to maintain and enhance its good standing with its National Sailing Authority and it National Mistral importer. |
7. Committees' responsibilities |
The duly elected committee undertakes to carry out their individual and collective responsibilities to the best of their ability and to use their best efforts to do so. Said responsibilities are set out in the attached document "How to Set Up a National IMCO". |
8. Aims |
The [ ] National IMCO agrees and undertakes to use their best endeavours to achieve the aims of their organisation as set out in the attached documents "How to Set Up a National IMCO" and "Background Information on IMCO" |
9. Finance |
The officers of the committee of the [ ] National IMCO hereby undertake to maintain the organisation as a self financed organisation and to use their endeavours to secure sponsorship for their proposed events and regattas. |
10. The Use of the IMCO Logo |
The [ ] National IMCO hereby undertake NOT to use or have used the IMCO logo in any way that has not been sanctioned by IMCO International. |
11. Support Provided by the International Office of IMCO |
The International Office undertakes to provide all the support and assistance it can, and as set out in the attached document "How to set up a National IMCO". |
12. Racing |
The [ ] National IMCO agrees to abide by the class rules set down by the IMCO International and to run all racing under the auspices of these, the Racing Rules of Sailing for 1997 - 2000 (RRS) and the published Notice of Race. Said racing to be run on the format set down by the IMCO International's Technical Committee, as agreed with the ISAF. Racing should be run in the best interests of ALL the members. |
13. Clinics |
The [ ] National IMCO hereby undertakes to organise, manage and run properly clinics to train sailors, coaches, race managers and rescue boat handlers in order that standards and abilities are enhanced in all areas. |
14. Newsletter |
The [ ] National IMCO undertakes to produce its own Newsletter on a quarterly basis, or more often as it finds permitting, and to circulate same to all members, sponsors, potential sponsors, the importer, the National Sailing Authority and the International Office of IMCO. |
15. Media |
The [ ] National IMCO undertakes to establish, maintain and enhance their contacts with press, media and TV journalists and companies. |
16. Spectators |
The [ ] National IMCO undertakes to select regatta sites for their suitability for racing but also for their attractiveness to spectators, also to set courses that will maintain spectators' interest as well as for good racing in good conditions. The [ ] National IMCO undertakes to provide a P.A. system and an experienced and knowledgeable commentator on the beach to involve spectators and keep them informed. |
17. Standing |
IMCO International undertakes that if a National IMCO of any size is in its bad standing, remains so and makes no efforts to make amends then the IMCO International will write to the said National IMCO and give it due notice that if the said National IMCO does not restore its good standing within six months then it will no longer be considered a bono fide member of the International Class and will be unable to vote at any ECM/ACMs or meetings of IMCO International. This condition will remain until the situation, in the opinion of the IMCO International, is restored. |
18. Fun |
The [ ] National IMCO undertakes to organise all its events and social events to enable all involved to have the best fun possible, having due regard to other members of the public. |
